Download
„The present report constitutes an attempt to map the key developments of the Polish transition to democracy during the past 20 years as well as to examine the main threats and challenges for the future of democracy in Poland. The report concludes more than three years of the research conducted by the Institute of Public Affairs within the project “Polish Democracy Watch - Monitoring Threats to Polish Democracy”. This project was initiated in 2007 within the “New Response” Programme of the Open Society Institute Think Tank Fund. Its aim was to support civil society think tanks responding to the rise of populism in the countries which entered the European Union in 2004-2006. Additional support for the project was provided by Trust for Civil Society in Central Europe”. (from the Introduction)
